Important: Use this hub to start with provider-owned country lists, then check the exact feature you need: opening an account, accepting customer payments, receiving money, holding a balance or withdrawing funds. A provider may support one capability without supporting every other capability.
Start with the exact capability
Do not treat a provider’s global presence as proof that every product is available in every country. Business registration location, legal form, industry, verification documents and settlement bank can affect eligibility.
How to check availability reliably
1. Select the provider’s official availability page. 2. Confirm the country where the individual or business is legally based. 3. Check the exact product and feature, not just the brand name. 4. Review local terms and onboarding requirements. 5. Confirm details during the provider’s current signup flow before making business decisions.
When an answer is unclear
If a provider’s documentation does not clearly confirm a feature, label it as unconfirmed and contact the provider. Do not assume a workaround, another country’s account or a third-party incorporation route is permitted.

Country-specific guides
These guides compare provider features using official country documentation. Start with the country where the individual or legal business is based, not the location of the customer alone.
| Country | Useful starting question | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| United Kingdom | Which services support UK businesses and how are payouts handled? | Read UK guide |
| Canada | Which bank account types and payout currencies qualify? | Read Canada guide |
| South Africa | How does Paystack fit into Stripe’s extended network? | Read South Africa guide |
| Philippines | Which local checkout options and payout routes are available? | Read Philippines guide |
Read an availability label in context
Provider directories do not all answer the same question. A country appearing on a payments list may relate to merchant onboarding, while a payout matrix may describe which recipients can receive funds. A transfer service may allow sending from a market without offering a stored balance, card, or local account details there.
| Question | What to verify |
|---|---|
| Can I open an account? | Residence or incorporation country, supported entity type, identity checks and eligible business activities. |
| Can I charge customers? | Merchant country, card and local payment methods, recurring billing, restricted industries and checkout currency. |
| Can I receive money? | Whether the payer’s platform supports recipients in your country and your account type. |
| Can I withdraw or hold a balance? | Bank/card destinations, account details, supported currencies, minimums, transfer limits and conversion fees. |
Country-check workflow
- Start with the official country or region list and note any labels such as “extended network,” “preview,” or “invitation only.”
- Open the country-specific requirements linked from that list.
- Match the documentation to your actual use case: accepting payment, holding funds, sending a transfer or receiving a payout.
- Check business type and verification requirements, then confirm the relevant feature in the live signup flow before making a decision.
Use the payment provider comparison directory for a starting shortlist, then follow the original provider source attached to each entry. The directory is editorial research, not a live API or approval check.
