Stripe: supported-country status

Canada appears on Stripe’s current supported-country list. Merchants should still check the business category rules, required documents, bank-account details and settlement settings before integrating a checkout.

PayPal: withdrawal methods and timings

PayPal Canada documents withdrawals to a linked bank account or eligible debit card. Standard bank transfers are typically described as taking 1–3 business days; eligible debit-card transfers can take around 48 hours, while instant transfer options may be available for a fee. Actual options depend on account, bank, currency and transfer review.

Review PayPal’s current Canadian fee and withdrawal pages before counting on a particular time or amount. A “complete” status means PayPal has processed the transfer; the receiving bank may take additional time to post it.

Wise: holding money

Wise lists Canada as a country where customers can hold money. That does not automatically settle every use case: confirm the specific balance, local account details, business-account eligibility, payment routes and card access you require. Wise may request identity and address checks, and account features can vary by residence and product.

Shopify Payments: Canadian bank requirements

Shopify’s Canadian requirements say the payout bank account generally needs to be a Canadian checking account. CAD payouts require a CAD account; USD payout arrangements have specific rules, including acceptable USD bank-account location/type. Shopify lists some savings accounts, wire-only accounts, flex-currency accounts and money-transfer services as unsupported account types. Confirm the latest exact requirements in Shopify’s help center before connecting a payout account.
